No Matter White/Black, I choose the best quality

Everyone has got busy lifestyle, and it didn't stop me from caring for my sons. It's school holidays school and we know that need to shop for school shoes and back to school stationery. That's not all, busy lifestyle whenever I see there's sales and good deal I would grab the chance to shop.

Now the heat question about whether white shoes or black shoes to wear. Just to let you know that the children will get start to wear black shoes enforce for school only start in the year 2021. All this while we busy using the white color school shoes, I prefer the white shoes because white looks clean and presentable. White color heat dispersion, as you can see even our school uniform are white in color. Yes, White colors win my heart as white shoes hygiene, reduce the risk of mosquitoes bites, and gives the heat dispersion. When my son's shoes get wet, they are easily dry up too!

Talking about school shoes, sharing is caring check out the Pallas School Shoes. If I get to decide the shoes color that we are going to wear in future, I would choose white as it's been many years. Every weekend we would wash the white shoes, white color reduce the risk of mosquitoes bites.

I know some of my friends would prefer black in color, as they told me that they no need wash the shoes often. Black color shoes, though get dirty but it's still black. This may give them excuses to avoid washing the shoes often. Unlike white shoes, once it's get dirty its obvious. Well no matter black or white, I still like white! Don't forget that no matter white or black, it's important to wash the shoes to give it hygiene.

My son will be Standard Two next year and Velcro type is suitable for him as the shoes are Velcro strap design, it has the cooling feet with the unique ventilation system designed. I like about these shoes because it has 'superlight' weight, I am sure parents didn't want to have their children wearing heavy weight shoes. My son long hour at school but still can keep his feet air ventilation and not smelly. This pair of Pallas white shoes provide good ventilation and most important they don't feel the heat as it give their feet Air Flow! The raining season parents would be worry of the shoes not fast dry but no worry as the Pallas shoes are designed for Quick Dry, sometimes rainy days we not able to put under the sun we can keep the shoes indoor but fan turn on for the shoes to Quick Dry.

For primary school students Standard 1 to Standard 6, they are suitable to wear Velcro type shoes. As for secondary school students, it's mostly likely to wear lace shoes. Most of teenager would prefer the Pallas Jazz Star Low Cut Shoe Lace than Velcro as they are growing up. My eldest son will be Form 1 next year and there's Velcro type available and also the Pallas Jass Star Low Cut Shoe Lace, the shoes rubber insole for better rebound (insole not easy to collapse), it is more comfy and it has New fitting (broader fitting).

With wide range of shoes choice at Pallas, you can find the suitable school shoes for your children. The new black school shoes will only be enforced beginning of year 2021.

Everyone with busy lifestyle, but there is Internet access we can online shopping for shoes. To know more about Pallas shoes, do visit their website:  https://www.pallas.com.my/

Back to school after school holidays

It's June and two weeks of school holidays over, back to school and today is kind of hard to wake up my son to go school. While my kiddo has come opening my door to wake me up as early as 7am as he wants to go kindergarten.

There was invitation to watch Power Rangers at RWG last Saturday but we are not available as son has to go tuition in the morning and afternoon I have an event to go, then in the evening we have a family meal with my parents for early celebration of Father's Day.

We had steamboat dinner at a restaurant, RM305 for 8 adults and 2 children. Children is measured by height and inclusive of two cans drink. Loving steamboat and spread of variety choice there, we enjoy ourselves. We have chosen a tom yam soup and chicken soup for our steamboat.

If you have been reading my blog updates. You will find that mymomsbest is no longer used as the blog link because I cannot access it anymore. Though the domain name is not expiry yet, something happened to it and my friend couldn't figure what happen so I decided to purchase a new domain for this blog.

My standard four son is going to have school exam next week. He's indeed poor in BM, BC and he has been going for tuition and have little improvement on that. I hope he keeps it up and learn and do more exercise in the poor subjects that he cannot master. His favourite is English and the mark has decrease, his class teacher has left school due to retirement. Last I saw the class teacher is to collect his report card. She is 60 years old. Today new class teacher has come to teach them.

Starting a computer class is a YES OR NO?

How's everyone feeling today? It's been raining all day long, son given a notice from school. There is no computer class in school so school PIBG plans to start computer classes.

There's no mention of how much fee a month that parents need to pay, the notice is like a survey form asking if parents want to have the primary school to get start the computer classes for Standard One to Standard Five. If parents are agree to it, parents will need to pay a fee for the computer class.

Just like that a survey of Yes or No to get start with computer class and if parents are willing to pay or not. Both in one questions, so you can only tick YES OR NO.

There's no other saying how long the computer class will held, or how much the fee payment.

I recall my school days that we spend not a long time in the computer class and 4 of us were sharing a computer to use. It was so long ago, different school different rules and regulations.

Anyway we'll have to wait and see the outcome of this maybe in September or October.

Can teacher simply cane children in class?

Just now I went to school to wait for son finished from class. Then I get him, he told that don't push up his pants to see because there's cane marks on his thigh almost near the knee area. It is not the first time the BM teacher hitting children in class. He has a bad behavior and many parents has complained about him but nothing being done by the school.

Son was hit by the teacher and he wasn't alone seem other classmate was hit by the teacher as well. The teacher used double cane, which mean it is not one cane but two canes together to cane. I called it double rotan, it is obvious can view the marks on his thigh.

There is another incident in class that other parent told me that the teacher suddenly got upset and throw the marker pen and it hit the child's face. My son and his classmates witnessed the teacher bad behavior a time where the teacher throw the school's chair on the floor and the leg's of the chair breaks off and nearly hit one of the student in class, even next door teacher knew about it and their class teacher know about it.

Sometimes this teacher very angry as he not able to hit the student, the student ran in the classroom and he needs to chase the student to hit. It's not the first time he destroy the school's property. The teacher did it again but kicking the cabinet in class and jam it as the class teacher came in class wanted to open the cabinet but cannot, students in class told her about it. Even next door teacher know about this teacher's behavior.

We want to know the truth why the teacher hitting children without a reason. It's time to speak up and voice up, whatever you can do about it.

Beware of fake school transporters

It maybe an old news but it is happening everywhere. I read about a mommy got shocked about the fake transporter. Apparently the transporter go to her house to fetch her child to primary school, saying that the actual transporter was sick and he's there to replacement the transporter. Her child was sleepy the day and wake up 15 minutes late, she told the fake transporter that child not yet awake so transporter left. But time goes by the actual transporter turn up at her home waiting for her child, she immediately ask the transporter that I though you were sick as someone came early say wants to fetch her child.

This is not just happen to her, but to others as well even at the primary school. Parents please take note of this. There's another case where the standard 1 pupil was waiting the transporter the fake transporter came and say she's the replacement transporter but the pupil says there's his sister that he's waiting also as both are using same transporter. By the time pupil's sister finished classes and with the pupil, actual transporter came to fetch them.

Please let your children know that there's fake transporter or don't follow anyone else but their transporter. I am not sure if the transporter can't make it they will have inform other transporters nearby to know about it or even call their parents to tell.

I am transporter to my sons as transporters here are expensive so I do it myself to send my children.

Even to parents let your child know that you'll be there to fetch them no matter what. If there's someone to replacement let the children know about it. We don't want our children to ends up in the wrong hands.

It's also important to help out transporters as well, sometimes children not attend class/school/kindergarten transporters don't aware of it. They end up going kindergarten to pickup but teacher told transporter child no attend school today. It's important we have two way communications.

More than 200 students and teachers from participating schools, parents and hospital staff joined the launch where they learned the importance of hygiene in a fun, interactive session that was research-based yet easy to understand.

In light of the flooding in the East Coast, Perak and Johor, the need for good hygiene practices among children and adults is even more important as a preventive measure to reduce the spread of communicable air and water-borne diseases. The current cooler weather due to cold north-easterly winds may also contribute to a rise in incidence of the common cold.

Antabax, a proudly Malaysian antibacterial personal care range has been actively championing hygiene and health through innovative education, awareness and training programmes. The brand collaborates closely with Hospital Sungai Buloh, a noted center of excellence for the prevention and treatment of communicable diseases in Malaysia in developing campaigns that are timely and relevant to current health issues facing the nation.

Lam Soon Edible Oils Sdn Bhd, Group Product Manager, Household & Personal Care, Marketing Division, Ms Angeline Sim, explained that the urgent need to reinforce hand washing habits to prevent the spread of communicable diseases such as influenza and diarrhea was apparent

School bag left outside tuition centre

Next year my toddler be going to Kindergarten, how excited would it be? Well it's no really fun as it would be tough to wake him up. I can never forget my eldest going to kindergarten first year crying in bed, says he's not willing to go etc. It's also time for him to have toilet train for going big project before going to kindergarten, some how my eldest always failed me driving half way we need to turn back because he needs to do big project.

Anyway about school bag left outside tuition centre, it's a tuition centre nearby son's school. It's famous with many children studying there, it's a shop lot type of tuition centre. My friend and I last year headed there, she wanted to request about school holiday activities, the lady didn't invite us in, she also take a look at overall clothing. Yeah, you know it, some people do judge you by what you wear! The lady told us that they only accept all year long student means they don't accept temporary student.

I saw a few times after working hours, the children's school bags would be left outside the tuition centre and nobody look after it. Imagine how dangerous it would be if someone just take a way of the the bags, who is going to be responsible for the lost of school bag and books in bag?! School bags lining up outside of the tuition centre.

I am sure no parent would want to see their child going back to school without their school bag.

Scam call on your child calling you for help

This morning I have breakfast with my son's classmate's mom. After that, I head to wait son finished school. Guess what?! A mom was saying to another mom that, there's scam call she received in the morning. There's no number show on the cell phone at all. She says a girl was saying she been kidnap and asking for help, just just like the called ended. She unable to trace back the call, anyway she knows her gal is at school and it doesn't sound like her daughter at all. The gal on phone was saying in Chinese language and obviously it was a young lady sound, she said.

Parents please be aware of this, some parents fall for it by bank in money to the person who said they have the children in hand, they want ransom etc.

New hair style for son

Yesterday, we bring son to have a hair cut. He chosen the army hair cut, yeah something like you watched in Ah Boys to Men 2. He likes the hair cut so much, today he says that they have class photo. Teacher told him that he's haircut is nice.

He used to have longer hair style on the front where dear would put hair gel on his hair to comb up to go school. Sad to say that the school does not permit children to put gel on hair. Though he looks smart and tidy but school no allow.

Some how the school allow some children with long hairstyles, unless they have letters on sold reasons why they need to keep the hair length.

Some parents prefer their children with bald head to go school, it's easier no need to go cut hair often. I mean this hairstyles for boys in school.

Must have in school bag! Magnetic pencil box/colour pencils case

My son is in Primary One, above is what he must have in school bag. His school bag is trolley type with three compartments at front. First compartment is where I keep his pencil box and colour pencils case.

The colour pencils case, I bought actually for gel pens. I took all the gel pens and replace them with colour pencils. I choose to give him use the magnetic pencil box because it is hard! I saw many types of pencil pouch but they are not suitable for him. I tried let him use and put in bag, sad to say the pencils ended up broken.

I find pencil pouches not suitable for him, perhaps he's a boy he's not really taking care of his stationery. It is third time I changed the magnetic pencil box. No kidding, it is either the magnet missing or it's other side of box broken.

Magnetic pencil box I can no longer find with price under RM10. I decided to choose other plastic pencil box for him.

Above Thomas & Train pencil box only RM5, but the shop no longer selling it. :(

What type of pencil box are you giving your child to use?

Magnetic pencil box still available today I saw them selling at RM19.90 to RM29.90 with sharpener.
I even saw the Mickey Mouse trolley school bag above RM200!

What to write on Primary One student name card?

Every day my son will be wearing a name tag to school, do you know what to write on the name card besides the name and class? At the back of the name card, write down the emergency numbers where teacher can contact guardian or parents. You never know when the teacher will need to call you.

This save the teacher's time from going back office ask clerk to find the contact number of guardian or parents. Other than that you can prepare spare name card with detail for the school bag. You never know if the school bag accidently get mixed up with other children's bag.

I do put names on my son's stationery too because i fear he lose them.

Happy New Year 2013 & Happy Start School

Yeah it is 2013 and Happy New Year to all my readers and followers. The New Year Eve, I brought my son to countdown while my dear went for his New Year Eve dinner with his colleagues. Yesterday first day of New Year, we just stay at home but we went out for lunch. At night my son tries to sleep early, he did fall asleep at 9pm but he woke up at 10pm telling he cannot sleep anymore. He watched the movie Karate Kid (Jackie Chan) and (Will Smith's son). He only falls asleep after around 2 am. He woke up 6.30 and had a cup of Milo and a Swiss roll. It is a long day for me today because I accompany him from 7am to 10am. I observed him in class, he and another two classmates helped teachers to carry the exercise books to class. I can no longer stay longer so I head back home first for shower. I had quick breakfast with another mom at the school's canteen. I had burger RM1.50 and a bottle ice lemon RM2. I have empty stomach in the morning and couldn't wait any longer and just nice a friend asks me to have breakfast with her. Her hubby had breakfast at canteen too. Canteen food in school the chicken burger is dry and very hard to swallow if I don't have a drink in hand. First day of school is challenging for all parents specially children in Primary One.

Standard one primary school

Have you check online if your child is able get the school that you have registered? You will need to print out a copy of the school you have registered online and bring along original birth certificate to school. Today you can go to school to check which class he or she is enrolled in. The teachers will see the original birth certificate because she needs to put a chop behind the certificate.

They will give a name card for you to write in your child name, the name card comes with holder cost RM2. Other than that, they encourage you to sign up a fee of RM80 for the five days class of Program Transis for Standard One. During this week the children will need to attend the class in school uniform. Food is provided but not stationery so they need to bring on their own.

The teachers inform that there is no better or worst class so no worry, all classes are the same. They says some parents would want to put their children in the best class.

Passport size of children no need at the moment as the school will take photo of them. They are not sure if the class going to be situated where.

I am not sure if parents need to purchase new text books, can any parent comment on this?

Off topic, one parent approached me yesterday asking if my son needs art tuition class. She says that her daughter is giving art tuition to other students in the area. I think art is not an important subject unlike Bahasa Malaysia, English and Mandarin.
