launched its Child Wellness Programme, an educational campaign aimed to
empower today’s discerning parents and key decision makers towards
creating uplifting environments for children, through various awareness

The
Child Wellness Programme sees partnerships with national associations
such as the Malaysian Paediatric Association (MPA), the Malaysian
Society of Allergy and Immunology (MSAI), Persatuan Pengasuh Berdaftar

alongside medical practitioners and child care providers as key
influencers to provide simple steps and expert advises for today’s
discerning parents.
The Child Wellness Programme stems

Range, a series of functional coatings that focuses on enabling clean
air, safe touch and creativity in 3 key growth milestones respectively –

information via the internet, many parents today are equipped with their
own 'digital doctor', by surfing on various websites to check on their
children's symptoms and treatment options. However, this may result in
misdiagnosing as there are many symptoms that may appear similar to
various conditions. In addition to that, it may be challenging to verify
the authenticity or credibility of the information provided. Thus, the
Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology (MSAI) is pleased to
collaborate with Nippon Paint on the Child Wellness Programme to provide
expert advice to parents and key decision makers.”
Under
the Child Wellness Programme, the partnership with MPA will see
collaborative efforts in public outreach through seeding of expert and
educational content, engagements with medical experts as well as
roundtable sessions as provision of first line of advice to parents.
While
Nippon Paint is collaborating with MSAI to highlight key information to
raise awareness on indoor allergens in health-related issues via a web
series on Nippon Paint’s Facebook platform and other engagements such as

As part of the Child Wellness Programme,
Nippon Paint will also play a vital role as an advisory panellist for
both PPBM and PTM, participating in training sessions, workshops to

According to
Malaysian Society of Allergy and Immunology, one out of three Malaysians
suffer from some form of allergy, children from parents with allergies
also stand a 50-80% chance of developing an allergy. Parents and child
care providers may lack relevant knowledge on the importance of the role
a conducive indoor environment plays for the development of children.
At
a young age, infants spend most of their time in the crib breathing in
twice the amount of air as compared to an adult. Thus, indoor air
quality should not be taken lightly as infants spend up to 8-20 hours a

Staging your resale HDB or condos can be inexpensive and a fun
experience that will significantly affect the amount of leverage you
have when negotiating the sale of your home but first you need to know
where to start. Haphazardly staging your apartment without a plan or
guide to what you are doing will result in a staged home that lacks a
cohesive flow and missed opportunities.
Specialists say it's
important not to confuse interior design with staging, which the same
thing, says Susan Goldstein, design overseer of Studio D. ."Interior
design is geared to the homeowner's taste and personal desire, " the
lady explains, while "staging is about putting enough furniture in a
space so that buyers can picture themselves surviving in the home and
how their furniture will easily fit in.
Staging is a
form of "visual merchandising, " this is according to a real estate
agent Gordon Roberts of Sotheby's. "The purpose of staging is to flatter
the apartment but not be too clear about it, like being properly
dressed without drawing attention to what you're wearing. " If you hire a
professional stager, have your broker manage the staging, or insist on a
totally do-it-yourself approach. Avoid these apartment staging mistakes
if you want to sell your apartment."
1. Burned out bulbs must be replaced.
This
is huge. Because you live in your apartment, you will become less aware
of things you see every day including the third bulb that burned away
over the bathroom hand mirror six months ago. Consider a family member
or friend who doesn't live with you through your home and see if they
notice any worn out bulbs that you might have missed. Exhausted
bulbs mean lack of maintenance to a home buyer and they will gladly
deduct dollars (in thousand dollar increments) if they suspect they may
have to do a whole lot of before moving in.
2. Take out excess big furniture.
Another
common mistake most apartment owners make when staging an apartment is
leaving their large furniture sets in an area. Huge furniture will
dominate any room, especially smaller rooms, so consider a little of the
non-essential sitting space out of a tiny living room to highlight the
available square video footage. Poor lighting and Dark furniture don't
mix! Within the topic of large furniture, dark furniture can be equally
harmful to your apartments ability to show well. Furniture being large
in nature, dark furniture pulls the attention towards it. Unless your
home features many expansive house windows that allow sunlight to
illuminate the entire room throughout the day, stay away from dark
furniture.
3. Do not Present An Unintended Distraction.
The

everywhere. We've also seen six-light chandeliers with two or 3
different bulbs--that's a hugely bad thing, " says Kory. "Light is one
of the main things that buyers are looking for, " wants Pinkerton. "No
matter how light and bright you think your apartment is already, in the
wattage. If perhaps you only have a ceiling light in a living room, buy
an inexpensive floor or table lamp. Work with three points of light per
room. That can be two table lamps and a floor lamp, or three table
lamps.”
9. Master Bedrooms and Other Rooms Doubling as kid's Rooms.
Keeping
the crib in the master bedroom tells a potential buyer with children
that there is not enough room for them in this apartment. It may be that
the crib is in the bedroom because the parents want to be near their
infant, but it should not be shown in a photo, nor during an open house
or viewing. Is that a playpen I see in the foyer. This is entirely
unacceptable. Not only does a potential client stumble upon this when
walking through the front door, but they are also told: "there is not
enough room in this apartment for your baby's things."
10 . Not Showing Outdoor Space to its Fullest Potential and Having Too Personal a Color Scheme.
Having
an apartment in any city with outdoor space is a premium. When stepping
out onto the patio pictured in the photo, buyers should think "Aaah...I
can not wait to be sitting out here relaxing and reading my book or
entertaining my friends". While I know it's winter, do we need to see
the collection of empty pots? These should be stored away and out of
view. If possible, the furniture at the far right end should be brought
here, so it is the first thing the buyer sees.
The
furniture in a living room in another listing shows a green couch, a red
TV console, blue walls, and a black and white end table. It is too
young and colorful and hip to appeal to the broad range of buyers. The
red console and the zebra end table at the very least should be replaced
with more neutral pieces, and the blue wall painted a more neutral
color.

The
Beaconhouse International School Convention (BISC) was initiated in
Bangkok last year to highlight the importance of sports in academic
learning. The international sports meet saw a stellar breed of students
from around the world come together in a full day sports tournament,
cheered on by thousands of supporters.
Riding on the huge
success of the inaugural convention, this year the convention is held
in Malaysia. A huge crowd of students, teachers and parents showed
their support to over 200 delegates from Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan,
Phillippines and Thailand competing in Badminton, Basketball, Athletics,
Futsal and Swimming. The chance to compete was open to both male and
female students, from 12 to 16 years of age. The Convention continued at
Beaconhouse Sri Inai International School the next day with panel
discussions, quiz, science exhibition, art installation and photography.
The Malaysian sports team made up of 50 delegates was
chosen through an inter-school carnival in Malaysia held between
Beaconhouse Sri Inai, Beaconhouse Sri Murni, Beaconhouse Sri Lethia,
and Newlands International School. The students from Malaysia were aged
between 12-16, hailing from different Beaconhouse Schools in Malaysia
and most played together as a team for the first time. For many it was
the first time playing in an international tournament against other
countries.
Mr Kasim Kasuri, CEO of Beaconhouse Group
said the school places emphasis on an all-rounded education and not just
classroom excellence. The strong network within the school group also
allows for
a stronger global apparoach and exposes the students to activities and experiences that may be challenging for other schools.

After a competitive series of sporting
activities, the results of the BISC 2017 winners were announced on
January 19 at the Closing Ceremony. It was a close result, with Pakistan
securing its place at the top spot
– with 6 gold medals, 6
silver medals and 4 bronze, a total point of 132 in both athletics and
extracurricular programs. Coming in second place is the host country
with a total point of 115 in athletics and extracurricular programs,
winning 6 gold medals, 3 silver and 3 bronze. Thailand scored 3 gold
medals, 5 silver and 1 bronze – a total point of 100. The fourth place
is won by Philippines with 1 gold medal, 2 silver and 8 bronze, with a
total point of 92. With a total point of 20, Oman took the fifth spot.
Following the successful first day of BISC 2017,
Beaconhouse also officiated its new Sports Complex at Beaconhouse Sri
Inai International School the next day.

SWEET POTATO TUNA CAKES
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS
185 g chilli tuna Ayam Brand
400 g peeled sweet potato,
steamed or baked
100 g cabbage, sliced thinly
100 g brown onion
100 g carrots, grated or julienne
2 stalks spring onion, julienne
3 eggs
1 tablespoon cornflour
METHOD
Mash the tuna, sweet potato, cabbage,
onion, carrots and spring onion. In a
separate shallow bowl, beat eggs and
cornflour.
Shape tuna mixture into four pieces flat
round cakes about 2cm in thickness.
Lightly oil a non-stick frying pan on medium
heat.
Dip the cakes into egg mix and pan-fry
until golden brown and crispy.
Serve with chilli dip.
Tuna and Avocado Quesadilla
Tuna & Avocado Quesadilla
150g Ayam Brand Tuna Chunks in Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, mashed
2 tablespoons lime juice
1 red onion, diced
3 sheets wholemeal tortillas
200g sheets wholemeal tortillas of parmesan and mozerella
½ avocado, thin slices
2 tbsp desiccated coconut
Black pepperand salt to taste
1 red chilli, chopped (optional)
1. Mix Tuna, Lime Juice and Onion. Add black pepper and salt to taste. Place tortilla sheet on a non stick frying pan.
2. Sprinkle some grated cheese and tuna mixture on a half side of the tortilla.
3. Place the avocado slices and more grated cheese on top of the tuna mixture, then fold gently.
4. Keep the quesadilla on the pan until slightly golden brown.
5. Flip to the other side and do the same, or until cheese has melted.
6. Cut the quesadilla into triangles and enjoy with light leafy salad.

It's June and two weeks of school holidays over, back to school and today is kind of hard to wake up my son to go school. While my kiddo has come opening my door to wake me up as early as 7am as he wants to go kindergarten.
There was invitation to watch Power Rangers at RWG last Saturday but we are not available as son has to go tuition in the morning and afternoon I have an event to go, then in the evening we have a family meal with my parents for early celebration of Father's Day.
We had steamboat dinner at a restaurant, RM305 for 8 adults and 2 children. Children is measured by height and inclusive of two cans drink. Loving steamboat and spread of variety choice there, we enjoy ourselves. We have chosen a tom yam soup and chicken soup for our steamboat.
If you have been reading my blog updates. You will find that mymomsbest is no longer used as the blog link because I cannot access it anymore. Though the domain name is not expiry yet, something happened to it and my friend couldn't figure what happen so I decided to purchase a new domain for this blog.
My standard four son is going to have school exam next week. He's indeed poor in BM, BC and he has been going for tuition and have little improvement on that. I hope he keeps it up and learn and do more exercise in the poor subjects that he cannot master. His favourite is English and the mark has decrease, his class teacher has left school due to retirement. Last I saw the class teacher is to collect his report card. She is 60 years old. Today new class teacher has come to teach them.
Last week Friday, in the evening a fire incident happened at home. It was from the gas stove as apparently the gas stove we thought has properly turn to closed but it is not. So nobody was in the kitchen and by the time we find out the wok fire has gone up to the kitchen hood suction. Yeah the kitchen hood was still on and didn't turn off. It is turned to off, but seem there might still be small fire on stove as the wok still on it and the cooking stick made of wood is burned too.
Panics as everyone got scare, my sister-in-law asked to use the fire exstinguisher to put out the fire. The fire exstinguisher that we bought was a small bottle type. It was not enough to use as fire still burning from inside the kitchen hood, water has been use to splash out the fire.
Black thick smoke out from the kitchen as we have a door which closed at kitchen that's why we didn't notice anything burning inside kitchen. Thank God, everyone's alright and home is safe.

FANS of deep-fried food know this cooking method is bad news for their hearts. However, using Philips Airfryer’s rapid air technology means they can now enjoy the taste of their favourite deep-fried dishes without using extra oil in the preparation. This was the focus of the “FATCHECK for a Healthy Heart” cooking competition jointly organised by the National Heart Institute (IJN) and Philips Malaysia, at AEON Big Mid Valley on last Saturday.
Twelve teams, comprising IJN staff, as well as their family members and friends, had participated in the preliminary round of the cooking competition at AEON BiG Subang Jaya on May 16. The teams were tasked with whipping up a low fat nutritious dish in 30 minutes, using a mystery ingredient, and prepared using the Philips Airfryer.
Six winning teams were then selected to compete at the grand cook-off today, and this time the teams had the greater challenge of cooking a complete meal based on recipes they were required to submit beforehand.
It was a busy Saturday morning where the teams get started cooking and the judges having hard time to decide who to win.
The cook-off was judged by Mary Easaw, IJN Chief Dietitian; Foong Pui Hing, IJN Principal Dietitian; Chef Marina Mustafa cookbook author and food stylist and Muhammad Ali Jaleel, Muhammad Ali Jaleel, Country Manager for Philips Group of Companies in Malaysia and General Manager, Consumer Lifestyle for Philips Malaysia. The teams were judged based on the nutritional value, taste, hygiene, creativity and presentation of the competing recipes.
According to Easaw, the competition was intended to show the public they can enjoy low fat heart healthy diet without skimping on taste. She said, “We Malaysians tend to use a lot of cooking oil in our daily cooking as we have a tendency to prefer fried food. The high dietary fat intake raises triglycerides and total cholesterol namely LDL, which result in clogged arteries and increased risk of heart attack and stroke. Now, they can enjoy their favourite fried foods using this low-fat cooking method.”
“As the leading heart institute in the region, IJN continues to promote heart health awareness among Malaysians. This is in line with Phillips mission to promote healthier and sustainable lifestyle and we are happy to work with them towards a mutual cause,” she said.

How can I improve my giveaway? Anyone care to share your thought and view on this?
Something else on my mind but not sure of it my friend asking me about this and I don't know what to say. Will the card parallel the nicer interference?
I don't know why I got the feeling that this year Tiger year 2010.
Every year is about the same and nothing much. Personally I am feeling of being left out. Just not in the mood for many things, it might be the cause of hot weather.
There is traffic jam at the area too, what makes me happy is going to beach. Window shopping and have quality time with loved one.
