MDYIN SWIPE ur DEBIT CONTEST WINNERS

 SWIPE ur DEBIT contest was jointly organized by MYDIN and MyClear in collaboration with 15 banks namely Affin Bank, Bank Rakyat, Alliance Bank, CIMB Bank, AGRO Bank, Hong Leong Bank, AmBank, Public Bank, Maybank, RHB Bank, Bank Islam, Kuwait Finance House, Bank Muamalat, UOB Bank dan OCBC Bank’. This contest was held for 92 days starting from August 1, 2015 until October 31, 2015. This effort is part of MYDIN and MyClear campaign to encourage the usage of Debit Card eventually supports cashless economy.

 Excited who is the winner of this Proton Saga SV 1.3. It was a simple contest to take part, with a minimum spend of RM80 payment using MyDebit/ATM card in one transaction at MYDIN. Each participant allow to take part in SWIPE ur DEBIT. Each contest form must be attached with the original receipt of transaction payment and particular of participant in detail.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

Hope it's not too late to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 

Last week we took few days away to go back my dear's home town. 

Yesterday we supposed to go my dad's place to dine with my uncle who is back from Australia but his bus was delay to 9pm reach. Dinner was change time from 7pm to 9pm in Cheras. We didn't make it to the dinner with them as my dear finds it too late to dine. Uncle was on way back from Kelantan last night. 

December is almost over, this is a throw back on shopping for my son's sport shoes. The shoes that used for him to go jungle trek at Awana Longhouse. I know they are many types of shoes to choose from but I need to choose one that is suitable for him. He's growing fast and he needs to wear men's shoes instead of children's shoes. The sport shoes chosen was suitable to use for hiking too. He did blog about the list things to bring for jungle trek. The sport shoes that I bought him last time at Giant can no longer fit him. This time shopping for sport shoes was in MYDIN USJ, for your information MYDIN USJ started to have parking system to pay. I do missed their free parking in MYDIN USJ. This pair of shoes that bought for him cost RM69.90. I prefer to shop for his shoes there as I find more choices of shoes available.

During the day I bring him to purchase sport shoes, he didn't go to the day care tuition centre and guess what?! The day care centre thought he is not attending anymore decided to remove his name from the rack of shoes. He went some days and find out his name was remove as tuition teachers thought he no long going there. Anyway I am starting him with another tuition centre instead of day care tuition centre as I don't see any improvement of his grades instead just getting worst. They only have one experienced teacher but she is not teaching his level.

Next year will be a tough year as he's entering Standard 4, he needs to choose either to be a Scout or Red Cresent Member in school uniform's activities.

Cabaran Raja Tarik F&N returns for the 9th time

Today is the first destination for the Cabaran Raja Tarik 2014, it is held at Mydin USJ in Selangor.

The search is on! F&N Dairies Malaysia, the No. 1 Condensed Milk company in Malaysia is on the lookout for the next F&N Raja Tarik via its Cabaran Raja Tarik F&N 2014.

F&N Dairies Malaysia kicked off the ninth Cabaran Raja Tarik F&N 2014 with a nation wide search to crown the next Raja Tarik F&N. The roadshow will hit various regions with the auditions in Penang, Johor Bharu, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu and Sarawak in the weeks ahead to uncover new tarik-king talent amongst Malaysians.

Farah together with Fizo Omar, actor, model and tv host will host the Cabaran Raja Tarik F&N 2014 TV program which features footages of the tarik'ing actions by participants, in addition , featuring local signature dishes and new recipes. The program will runs on TV3 and TV9 from 21 May to 12 June.

Don't forget that you can view the Cabaran Raja Tarik 2014 on TV show on every Wednesday and Thursday from 21 May to 12 June at 7.55pm on TV3. The repeat show will be on every Thursday and Friday at 6.30pm on TV9.

Look up my picture and you can find out that there's fire crackers decoration, I didn't notice of it until I hear fire crackers in the night. Do you know I have been looking where's the fire crackers?

They are 20 old folks from Rumah Sejahtera Seri Setia, Petaling Jaya invited for the Mydin Chinese New Year Carnival 2014. They have Yee Sang on their table and given Ang Pao and goodie bag from VVIP.

This morning I head to Mydin for grocery shopping. I am happy to tell you, today is my happy day. Look at my haul, oh well just one pair of sandals not all above picture!

Can you guess which pair of sandals I bought? My sister-in-law saw this picture and says the pink look nice. :D Anyway that's not my choice.

I shop for comfort shoes not just the design and style. I saw a pair of sandals exact same one pair belong my sister-in-law. The price is RM20 here but she purchased for RM59.90.

You can find the shoes selling near the main entrance of Mydin USJ. I am not sure how long they will be there. I asked the staff and he said maybe for two weeks, he's not sure.

I was eyeing on the beads sandal before I start my grocery shopping in Mydin. I am happy after shopping groceries in Mydin, the shoes still there. :D

Planta: Mothers Baking For Charity@Mydin USJ

Good evening, what's your plan for today? If you are free, head to Mydin USJ today. They are having Bengkel Amal Kuih Raya. I am happy to be invited to be one of the bloggers to take part in Mothers Baking For Charity. My son is my helper in the baking, yeah we have so much fun in the baking for charity. If you have interest to bake for charity head to Mydin USJ today, they are there until 28 July from 10am to 10pm.


Besides baking, children can have fun with colouring. Yeah that's what son did before the baking starts. :D

Below picture shows the ingredients to bake Raya cookies. The main ingredient is Planta. Planta is the leading margarine brand Malaysia. Planta is a brand of Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn Bhd, a household name in Malaysia trusted for baking, spreading and cooking for more than 80 years.

Planta has creats an opportunity for mothers to extend their love to the less fortunate children of Rumah Perlindungan Al Nasuha, Batu Caves, through its charity baking workshop.

 

 

 

In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Planta hosted a three-day charity baking workshop in Mydin Subang Jaya and brought together mothers to bake cookies for 65 less fortunate children for a taste of mother's love.

The workshop aimed to give mothers an opportunity to relieve their special moments and extend the experience for the less fortunate children.

Together with the love and support of the community, Planta wants to make a difference to the less fortunate children during Ramadhan, at the same time, inspires Malaysians to devote more quality time and build stronger bonds amongst family members," said Victor Leow, Brand Manager, Foods & Beveragaes Category, Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn. Established since 2010, Rumah Perlindungan Al Nasuha, Batu Caves, Selangor is home to 65 orphans, aged between 8 months to 18 years old.

Jelajah Kasih Ramadhan 2013

Jelajah Kasih Ramadhan 2013 di Mydin USJ semalam. Gambar di atas adalah persembahan adik-adik dari Baitul Hidayah.

Seramai 42 adik-adik dari Baitul Hidayah berumur dari 1 tahun hingga 12 tahun, menerima layanan istimewa dari PUSPNITA, BELIA SUKARELAWAN MPSJ dan PIHAK MYDIN yang membantu mereka membeli belah.

Tanggungan Kos membeli belah sebanyak RM150 seorang merupakan sumbangan dari pihak MAMEE Sdn Bhd, dan kutipan sumbangan dari kakitangan MPSJ.

Mereka turut menerima aksesori pakaian daripada PIHAK GENEXIS SDN BHD.

Terdahulu, adik-adik ini diraikan oleh pihak UN RIDERS dan BELIA SUKARELAWAN MPSJ dengan menaiki motosikal berkuasa tinggi secara berkonvoi beramai-ramai menuju ke Mydin untuk membeli-belah dan berbuka puasa.

Adik-adik Baitul Hidayah dan semua pihak yang terlibat diraikan pula di Majlis Berbuka Puasa yang disediakan oleh pihak Mydin pada petang ini.

Mereka bermalam di masjid, seterusnya pada awal pagi esok seawall 3.30 pagi akan berlangsung aktiviti Jelajah Sahur di mana sebanyak 200 pax juadah sahur yang disediakan oleh Masjid Al Falah akan diedarkan kepada 26 Rumah Fakir Miskin, 1 Pusat Penempatan Pesakit HIV, 1 Rumah Anak Yatim, dan seterusnya kepada orang gelangangan di seluruh kawasan MPSJ.

Malaysia Book of Records: Unilever Largest Frying Pan and Stove

 I have been invited by Faridah of Mydin to attend an event organized by Unilever for the Malaysia Book of Records. Unilever Largest Frying Pan and Stove. This is held at Mydin Wholesale Hypermarket Subang Jaya. If you are still around the area, you can check out the moving truck and the products near main entrance of Mydin USJ.

This morning when I was there, I saw the big green sheet covering something and I didn't know what it is. Guess what? It is a giant frying pan! I can't wait to see Amy Mastura, Rakesh Mohan, Managing Director and Chairman, Unilever (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, and Datuk Wira Dr Haji Ameer Ali bin Mydin, Managing Director, Mydin Mohamed Holding Bhd pulled away the green sheet.

I am sure that being a mom, you know the endless list of chores. Housewives and mothers in Malaysia are inundated with an endless list of chores - time in the kitchen should be the least of their worries. After spending so much time and effort to prepare savoury home-cooked meals for their loved ones, they are exhausted of the thought of spending more time on chores such as washing dirty dishes and cleaning stubborn stains on their kitchen.

This exclusive event, Sunlight and Cif work together as "Kitchen Specialist" to showcase how these two brands are able to ease mothers and housewives by providing them an effective solution in their solution in their kitchens.

To show the effectiveness of Sunlight and Cif, both the brands cleaned the largest stove frying pan in Malaysia, while settling its mark in the Malaysia Book of Records for creating the largest stove and frying pan in Malaysia. Together Rakesh Mohan, Managing Director and Chairman, Unilever (Malaysia) Holdings Sdn Bhd; Datuk  Datuk Wira Dr Haji Ameer Ali bin Mydin, Managing Director, Mydin Mohamed Holding Bhd; and popular singer, Amy Mastura received a certificate from Malaysia Book of Records after cleaning the 3 meter frying pan with Sunlight and the 4 meter stove with Cif.

The presence of popular singer, Amy Mastura jazzed up the event when she shared stories on her hectic lifestyle as mother and entrepreneur. Although she runs on a busy schedule on daily basis, she emphasized on the importance of spending quality time with her daughters and family. She believes that success of a household does not only focus on the ability to keep the house flawless clean, but also focuses on the importance of spending time to develop closer relationship amongst one another.

Since June this year, Sunlight and Cif has collaborated to introduce the Kitchen Specialist to the public through the moving truck in 42 locations in Peninsular Malaysia. Several exciting activities were held for the truck visitors including exchanging Sunlight and Cif products, cooking and kitchen cleaning demonstration, dishwashing competition and complementary sample giveaways.

On Saturday morning I was invited by Pn. Rafidah to P&G and MYDIN for this meaningful event. It is be part of Special Olympics Great Movement P&G and MYDIN call for greater opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities.

 

What is Special Olympics? Special Olympics, it is an international organization that changes lives by promoting undersand, acceptance and inclusion between people with and without intellectual disabilities. Through year-round sports training and atheletic competition and other related programming for 2.8 million children and adults with intellectual disabilities in more than 180 countries. Special Olympics has created a model community that celebrates people's diverse gifts. Founded in 1968 by Eunice Kennedy Shriver, Special Olympics provides people with intellectual disabilities continuing opportunities to realize their potential, develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage and experience joy and friendship.

14 year old Dehveyann was born with Down syndrome, a condition typically associated with delay in cognitive ability and physical growth, however this strong-willed boy is providing to all that the only limitation in anyone in the limit they set on themselves and for Dehveyann, the sky seems to be the limit. A condident swimmer and a hardworking athelete, Dehveyann is given a chance to represent Malaysia in the 1st Asia Pacific Special Olympics Games in Australia.

Many special children, like Dehveyann, are discovering their potential and going beyound what they are commonly expected to through sports and Special Olympics is a place where not only they are given the opportunity to be active in sports but also interact with their peers in a supportive and enriching environment.

The happy faces and the true confidence that can be seen on these special children is an inspiration for Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Mydin Mohamed Holdings Bhd (MYDIN) to roll out a fundraising campagin. P&G and MYDIN aim to raise funds in support of our athletes' participation in the 1st Asia Pacific Special Olympics Games in Newcastle, Australia.

Passionate in advocating a worthy cause, professional tenpin bowler Shailin Zulkifli, badminton coach Mohamad Razif Mohd Sidek and former national football player Datuk Santokh Singh who made apperance at the launch, will be conducting a motivational clinic for the special atheletes to boost their self-confidence. Starting from 23 Feb 2013 until 15 April 2013, consumers can help reach out the special atheletes by spending a minimum of RM10 on P&G range of products at participating MYDIN store.
