CARRIE JUNIOR Kids Shampoo - Hair and Scalp Care Talk

chat session with paediatrician Dr. Roliza Ibrahim, MBBS (Malaysia), M.MED (Paeds) (UKM)

Living in a fast-paced world, convenience is a crucial and in haste we may overlook the finer details when it comes to selecting daily necessities for the family. Being mommy of two boys, I understand the important that every parent will needs to understand the needs of their children differ from adults and this is important when selecting personal care products for children.

We can select personal care products namely shampoo, do you know that sharing the adult shampoo with little ones is not recommended as advised by paediatricians.

CARRIE JUNIOR yesterday organized a talk to help customers understand children's hair and scalp care better. Paediatrician, Dr. Roliza Ibrahim shared from a medical point of view the best care for children's hair and scalp. One of the tips given on the event is after shower, use comb not the brush for the hair. This is to avoid the hair from breaking.

“Shampoo for adults generally contain stronger chemicals to clean out dirt and oil after a day’s worth of activities. Children who are yet to go through puberty do not produce as much oil on their scalp. As a result, using adult shampoo on children may cause the hair and scalp to be drier. This would also trigger other side effects such as having frizzy and brittle hair, as well as dandruff due to the drying of the scalp,” added Dr Roliza.

The left gal with colorful hair bands is the winner took home a CARRIE JUNIOR Hamper and RM200 cash voucher

At the event, there's a friendly competition held by CARRIE JUNIOR between 4 parent-children pairs to see which parent could come up the neatest and pretties hairdo for their child in 10 minutes.

The winner was voted by members of the media who were present at the event. I have also share some photos on my Facebook Page, click on the link to view it.
