Neubodi's DONATE.SUPPORT.RECYCLE Bra Drive campaign

It's Sunday, are you planning to go anywhere later in the afternoon or evening? If not can think of heading to 1 Utama Shopping Mall. There's Neubodi's DONATE.SUPPORT.RECYCLE Bra Drive campaign going on and you can bring along your old bra for donate, support, recycle bra drive the pink box is available at the ground floor at Highstreet. Besides that, you can also head to any Neubodi nationwide until 5 November 2017 to support this campaign. You can check out the video as I visited the 1 Utama Shopping Centre yesterday, it's heavy traffic jam in the afternoon and basement parking is completely full. I have to go the other side to go up the shopping mall, so I parked Old Wing after 20 minutes of waiting. The Highstreet is located at New Wing of 1 Utama.

According to the National Cancer Institute Malaysia, about 5,000 Malaysian women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and nearly half of those are under 50-years of age. Less than 72% of men recover from the disease as doctor's visit is made when symptoms are more severe - at which point that the cancer may have already spread.
customised silicone models

Visit the 1 Utama Shopping Center as you can find the BCWA's mobile clinic - equipped with early detection and support tools for clinical breast examination, and specialised booth offering counselling sessions on breast self-examination using customised silicone models have been set up. It's free to visit them now and there's nurse from Tropical Medical Centre's oncology specialists and health professionals are also on-hand to facilitate public understanding on breast cancer and conduct on-site basic health screening.

The partnership between Breast Cancre Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) and Neubodi aims to increase public awareness that breast cancer is 'gender blind', and promote the importance of self-examination and early detection while raising funds for BCWA's "Hospital Angels" programme. Funds are raised via Neubodi's "Pedal Forward" cycling convoy, and exclusive sales from its GO PINK collection during this weekend at 1 Utama Shopping Centre at Highstreet Concourse. RM10 from every PINK BRA purchase will be donated to BCWA.

Bra Banks
I have visited the Bra Banks yesterday to drop an old bra. You can just drop off unwanted or used bras in the Bra Banks at any Neubodi stores nationwide and they will donate gently-used items to victims of sex trafficking, enabling their rehabilitation into society as they earn a livelihood selling second-hand bras. Beneficials of the "DONATE" initiative are communities in Malaysia, Cambodia, Nepal, India and Africa including those in poverty for whom bras are sought-after essential item - providing comfort and self-esteem.

Keeping textile away from the landfills, bras not suited for donation will be collected by their strategic partner, Life Line Clothing. Using proprietary technology, raw materials of bras such as spandex, nylon, metal wire and plastics will be converted into reusable solid fuel commonly used to power industrial boilers and generators. This "RECYCLE" initiative is Malaysia's first activity of its kind. The factory of Life Line Clothing is located in Port Klang. Today, you can visit their booth at 1 Utama Shopping Centre at Highstreet Concourse
